2018 Prairie Fall Classic

Tournament Summary

The Prairie Chess Series has a new name, the Prairie Fall Classic. The new rendition of our great tournament will be Saturday, December 8, 20189. The tournament has the same format as last year with the following sections:

  • K-3 Unrated: 5 games. For any Grade K-3 players. Trophies for the Top 3 overall and then the top score in each grade.
  • K-3 Open: 5 games. For any Grade K-3 players. Trophies for the Top 3 overall and then the top player scores with US Chess Rating under 600, 400, 200, and unrated.
  • K-6 U1000: 4 games. For Grade K-6 players rated under 1000. Trophies for the Top 6 overall and then the top player scores with US Chess Rating under 700, 500, 300, and unrated.
  • K-12 U1400: 4 games. For Grade K-12 players rated under 1400. Trophies for the Top 6 overall and then the top player scores with US Chess Rating under 700, 500, 300, and unrated.
  • K-12 Open: 3 games. For any Grade K-12 players. Trophies for the Top 4 overall and the top player with US Chess Rating under 160

You may register online at https://onlineregistration.cc/CII/2018PFC. Entry fee is $10, $15 on Saturday. US Chess Federation Memberships are available at the tournament for $11.

In addition to the scholastic tournament, we will have a FREE 3 round parents section as well. You may register for this at the tournament, after we get the kids going. We will have trophies for the top three combined scores of parent/child teams. Also, we will have trophies for the top sibling pairs too.
