1. CREATE YOUR PLAYER TOURNAMENT PROFILE (One time only)

  • You may skip this step if you have previously completed a player profile for Chess in Iowa.
  • A player profile is not required to register, but it does provide necessary information regarding eligibilty and prizes.
  • Click here to begin

2. SELECT AND PAY FOR ONE OR MORE TOURNAMENTS

  • You will need to provide the name of the chess player and their USCF ID. Use the link below to look up a USCF ID.
  • If you do not have a USCF membership, you may purchase a USCF membership with your online registration or at the tournament.

All payments are processed through PayPal.

No credit card information is maintained by Chess in Iowa.

PAYING BY CASH OR CHECK

If you prefer, you may pay by cash or check in advance or on-site. On-site registration closes 30 minutes before the start of the tournament. You may mail your registration payable to:

3. PURCHASE OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIPS for US CHESS FEDERATION and/or IOWA STATE CHESS ASSOCIATION (Annually)

You may add a US Chess Federation (USCF) membership and an Iowa State Chess Association (IASCA) membership to your shopping cart.

  • USCF Membership is required for all scholastic and all-ages scholastic tournaments unless otherwise noted
  • IASCA Membership is required for all IASCA Championship and Championship Qualifying Events. The only scholastic tournament requiring IASCA Membership is the Denker & Barber Qualifying Events (e,g, High School Championship and the K-8 Championship)
