WHO ATTENDS?

All six 2010 Iowa 1st through 6th Grade Chess Champions have attended the Prairie Chess Camp


The Prairie Chess Camp enters its 4th year of summer chess training for school age players.  Responding to requests from past participants, we are extending this great chess experience to 5 days.

Chess Campers will meet together but are often divided into groups based on age and demonstrated ability (USCF rating) to allow the instructors to work with the students at a targeted level.

 Daily Schedule

he Wisconsin Chess Academy is dedicated to promoting chess at adult and scholastic levels. We provide a wide variety of services, including private lessons for all levels, group lessons, chess camps, seminars, lectures, and simultaneous exhibitions. Our academy is also involved in running school chess clubs and organizing tournaments. Over the last ten years our students have won top awards in many tournaments, including national events.  Whether you are a serious player or just curious about chess, you can trust that Wisconsin Chess Academy can help

FIDE Master              Alex Betaneli  

 

Three time Wisconsin State Champion. Alex (USCF 2300+) is currently pursuing International Master title while teaching chess full time. His students consistently win titles at the city, state, and national levels. Alex’s hobbies include tennis, reading, cooking and yoga. He frequently writes for the most widely read chess magazine Chess Life.

Erik Santarius

 

Erik (USCF 2300+) captured Wisconsin State Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2010. He has become a prominent coach in the last three years, and his students win awards with impressive regularity. He enjoys reading science-related literature, philosophy, tennis and relaxation. Erik plans to earn an IM title in the near future.
